Arcades Dominate November Opening Week

This year has seen the traditional daily updates suffer massively to the point where there have been less than 50 posts across the year as a whole so for the rest of the year, I will be testing out the prospect of weekly summaries instead.

Boggle achievementsProject Spark achievementsThe month began with  plays across Project Spark and Boggle both on the Xbox One and the outcome saw four achievements and a haul of 175 G.

Boggle achievementsThe next day saw another session on Boggle with a quick stop on Battle Islands which was also on the Xbox One.
Battle Islands achievements
The day saw a small haul of three achievements and 300 G.

Sparkle Unleashed achievementsA new game graced the Achievement Chase as Sparkle Unleashed on the Xbox One an a good intro session saw two unlocks. The game gives an easy start as 150 G came rapidly.

Another new game to add to the list after my co-op partner came across Spectra for the Xbox One.

Spectra achievementsSo I had a quick go and came away with a single achievement and 10 G too.

Frozen Free Fall: Snowball Fight achievementsA puzzling session saw Frozen Freefall and Sparkle Unleashed combine on the Xbox One.

Sparkle Unleashed achievementsThe outcome was a share of five achievements with a huge haul of 300 G with Sparkle dominating the total.

Pneuma: Breath of Life achievements Continuing the influx of new arcade games this month, the sixth saw the introduction of Pneuma- Breath of Life on the Xbox One.

The session was a quick one but a good puzzler too with two achievements resulting in 200 G.

Pneuma: Breath of Life achievementsSleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition achievementsQ achievements         Unmechanical: Extended Edition achievements
The week closed with a bumper day with Q debuting while Sleeping Dogs, Pneuma: Breath of Life and Unmechanical Extended returning.

The quartet of games combined in five achievements and a total of 254 G as the pursuit of 150,000 G grew closer.

Sept/Oct Backlog Summaries

After a complete neglect of what is still my strongest blogging strand, the September and October summaries need to be done.

September

As the year reaches its final third, September saw a reasonable haul overall as it continued the run of 100+ unlocks in a month.

The main positives in the month were the milestones of 140,000 G and 7250 unlocks (without apps). In terms of numbers, September saw a total of 125 unlocks with a spread of 118 on Xbox One and a seriously low seven on the Xbox 360/Windows platforms.

Sadly, there were no completions this month but progress was made towards future ones with a haul of 2,425 G split 2,330 (X1) and 95 (X360/Win) coupled with 4,375 TA split at 4,184 (X1) and 191 (X360/Win).

October

After December 2014 claimed the title of 'Best Ever Month' with a 200+ unlock haul, thoughts of a new record were far from the focus when October began but very different when it ended.

A stunning month also featured a new 'Best Ever Day' on the 16th which saw 100 unlocks and over 2000 TA/G to smash the previous best from March 27th.

Numbers wise, a first ever 250+ in 252 unlocks saw a good split of 159 (X1) and 93 (X360/Win) with the latter being the best 'last gen' count of the year.

The TA also saw a record haul of 8,271 with a fairly imbalanced split of 6,382 (X1) and 1,889 (X360/Win) while completing the trio of success was a huge 5.495 G which was split 4,290 (X1) and 1,205 (X360/Win).

Of course, being the best month meant a lot of milestones being reached with the main successes being reaching 7,500 achievements, 145,000 G, 230,000 TA and the 40% completion rate which includes reaching 55 completions overall.

In terms of completions, October saw a quartet with the trio of The Walking Dead Season One (X1) and both versions of Season Two coming on the 100 unlock day of the 16th while Slice Zombies Kinect came on the 20th.

August Summary

After catching up a huge backlog with monthly summaries, August comes after the resuming of updates which will hopefully continue in the future.

After July set a new record for unlocks in  month, August saw a slow down while still continuing the 100+ unlocks across a month.

The biggest positive of the month was reaching a total of 1000 unlocks for the year as the milestone of 225,000 TA edged closer.

In terms of numbers, August saw a total of 126 unlocks with a split of 118 on the Xbox One and just eight on the Xbox 360/Windows platforms.

Sadly, there were no completions this month but progress was made towards future ones with a haul of 2,535 G split 2,395 (X1) and 200 (X360/Win) coupled with 5,573 TA split 5,256 (X1) and 317 (X360/Win).
