There's a War Goin' On (15G) opened the day after graphically killing Remy Duvall on a cross and was followed by Certainly Was Exciting (30G) for leaving Olivia Marcano to her fate.
We're In This Together (15G) connected after keeping all Underbosses alive until the 'Yet Here We Are' mission. The mission itself went as planned and I awaited the goal unlock to celebrate completing Warboats but nothing popped.
The actual unlock took place at 2.38 am but popped at 21.55 later in the day to my shock but with the original timestamp. Yet Here We Are (40G) for avenging Sammy and Ellis. (This would be the final actual unlock of the day so anything from here was done while this was still stuck).
The final mission of the main story saw the popping of Before They Bury You (100G) for deciding Lincoln's fate and the session ended there. However, the game would continue later that morning with a pop up after 11 am of Racketeer (15G) for earning the maximum amount from a racket
.
Next up was Trust (15G) for reaching the 'Loyal' stage with one Underboss and was soon followed by .45 In My Hand (25G) shot in after completing all of Cassandra's side missions.
A move into a short double play began with Mahjong by Microsoft (Mobile) and the reason was to pop Marathon (40G) for completing at least one challenge on each day in a month and console wise, I began a game that recently came to Game Pass in Donut County. The game itself is based on playing as a hole swallowing up items and progressing to defeat the Trash King.
The session began with Pup's Odyssey (15G) for releasing the Hot Air Balloon and was swiftly followed by Pyro (15G) after setting Pepper's trailer on fire.
Quack Enthusiast (90G) sounded after quacking 100 times which is done in the text messaging feature. Gamer (30G) popped after stocking up on gamer fuel.
Egg Breaker (30G) smashed in after allowing three dozen eggs to break and was soon followed by Secret Soup (95G) for making the Chef's secret soup recipe (done using a mix of Salt and Pepper).
The game title itself was the next unlock in the form of Donut County (15G) for destroying the Donut shop. Next up, The Flume Is Doomed (15G) popped after destroying Racoon Lagoon which was a theme park.
Entry to the Trash King's compound saw Hacker (15G) pop for basically hacking the mainframe and in doing so Disrespecter (30G) came in after destroying Trash King's monitor.
The final main story unlock came in the form of Boss Fight (35G) for winning the boss fight but in taking damage in doing so prevented an additional unlock. Redeemed (15G)
popped after bringing everyone back from underground.
popped after bringing everyone back from underground.
A warning to anyone who usually skips or fails to pay attention to game ending credits as this one has two unlocks hidden in the sequence starting with Pilot (30G) for flying through the Donut Hole. This was followed by Escape (95G) after discovering Trash King's getaway vehicle.
The task now was to sweep up the remaining unlocks which began with Music Lover (90G) after clearing the Gecko Park level without using the radio. Game Over (20G) popped after going back and losing the Boss fight.
Replaying the final fight for a third time saw the third related unlock in Flawless (95G) for completing the Boss fight without suffering any damage. In completing the fight, the compound needed to be destroyed and unlike previous attempts, I spotted a monument so destroyed it and up popped Dethroner (90G) for destroying Trash King's monument.
Bandit (90G) sneaked in after breaking into the vault at Raccoon HQ and was soon followed by Nerd (90G) after completing the Trashopedia and in doing so sealing the game completion.
Focus returned to Mafia III (still awaiting the phantom unlock) and Custom 358 (15G) sped in after driving 120 mph for 20 or more seconds with I Need a Favor (25G) popping after completing all of Vito's side-missions.
A random unlock next in Did I Forget Something ? (30G) for placing an unconscious body in the trunk of a vehicle, random as I simply did it and then up it popped at a DLC achievement. The short session ended with Testing The Shocks (15G) for performing a 50m jump while driving and landing wheels first.
A return to Mahjong by Microsoft took place while viewing WHU V LIV on TV and the session began with Unstoppable (40G) for completing five Expert puzzles with no aids or using Undo. Photo Finish (10G) snapped in after completing a puzzle within three turns after a Reshuffle.
All the Right Moves (60G) popped after completing ten hard puzzles without using any aids or Undo. The session ended with Force of Habit (10G) for completing the same puzzle 20 times.
Another new game to end the month saw the start of the coding platformer Jump Step Step and the first unlock came in the shape of Broken Spaceship (50G) for reaching the broken Spaceship. Robot Repeat (25G) popped up after unlocking repeat actions.
First Challenge (50G) unlocked after solving the four spikes challenge and was soon followed by Full Body (75G) popped after Bob (character) regained his limps.
12 Steps to Get His Arm (150G) swung in next for retrieving the arm in under 12 actions with Monkey King (75G) floated along after riding a cloud.
Clever (200G) popped after defeating Alice in 15 or less actions and the main quest was done with the unlocking of Blast Off (150G) for hopping onto the Spaceship.
The final unlock of the day as mentioned above was the glitched Mafia III story one which took the total to 376 for the month but with knowledge of that still not reality as yet, a quick play on the game led to Covered In Blood (30G) splashing in for meeting Bonnie Harless and taking the month's haul to the then total of 375.
A summary of the month itself will follow before February's dailies begin and doing this post shows just how much 48 unlocks in a day really is when reviewing it all.
