Adera Episode Three
Episode three of Adera was released today and as it is a game I had previously completed I was straight online to download it and did so at a price of £2,79.
Aderan Intuition (10G) popped up for completing Episode 3: Escape Into Light without using a single hint and completed this portion of DLC while also claiming a milestone as it became my 20th officially completed game an also meant it ticked off one of my 2013 goals.
It was a quick but exciting episode which saw the unlocking of all seven of the remaining achievements beginning with Escape Artist (15G) which popped up for fashioning a crude rope and escape through a crack in the floor while Snake Charmer (10G) unlocked for chasing snakes away from the clogged water channel.
Pulse Perfection (10G) unlocked for missing no more than three taps while shifting the boulder in the cave pool and Surface Dweller (15G) unlocked for escaping the Aderan underground and making it back to the surface.
Steam Punk (15G) unlocked for obscuring the stone mask's vision in the bath house while Glyph Master (25G) unlocked for using the key glyphs to open the door to Amaro's Tower.

Wordament Spells Sore Fingers By The Treble
Due to Wordament having three versions, one of the achievements required playing 100 rounds and as the versions were intertwined the achievement unlocked on all three concurrently so I unlocked three achievements for the same thing but on different games which is lucky but strange.
Sore Fingers (20G Win8) (5G iOS/Web) unlocked for playing 100 rounds and the accolade on the web version meant it was the final achievement and saw the game completed making it my 19th officially completed game which will drop to 17 soon with the announcement of DLC for two of my completions in the shape of Adera and Sleeping Dogs.

Wordament Hits The Web
When the game Wordament first appeared on Windows 8 in October, I never thought that come February 2013 I would be earning achievements on a third version of the game and this time it is the WEB version which saw a total of nine unlocks which began with Swipe Those Tiles (10G) popping up for completing 10 rounds.
Spin Cycle (10G) spun in for rotating the grid in a round and soon Autobiographical (20G) unlocked for finding the longest possible word in a round which was 'extinguished'.
Better Than Half (10G) popped up for finishing in the top 50% of players in a round and CH a CH IN g (10G) unlocked for finding a diagram word in a round.
Beat Your Frenemies (20G) unlocked for beating all frenenmies (I selected a random player) and Theme Word popped up for finding a themed word in a round.
Multilingual (10G) popped up for playing the game in an alternate language of which I chose Français and Sweet Sixteen (10G) for finding words which used each of the 16 letters in the grid once in a round.

January Summary
As in 2012, January has again put up a mixed start in terms of accolades and achievements but this year the main reason for the mix is that I am no longer single and also my work rota has seen me do a few weeks with little gap between five and six day runs.
This has meant that I have found little time to have a proper gaming session and rack up stacks of achivements, more so is the fact that it has taken me until the 3rd of Feb to actually get round to writing this summary.
The main success has come through play on non-retail titles such as Retro City Rampage, Minesweeper, Cut The Rope and Wordament.
January 2013 (2012 in brackets)
44 Achievements unlocked (38)
8 Games played (4)
1170 TA points* (862)
700 Gamerscore (650)
*TA points exclude losses due to score re-calculation.
All in all an improvement on last year and hopefully February will a similar improvement with more games being played and completed with no planned purchases on the horizon.
