Xbox One Blitz Over Two Days

November 9th and 10th saw a spread of games based on the Xbox One with Rayman Legends and Nutjitsu on the first day and each resulting in a single unlock, I'm ahead! (10G) unlocked for beating a friend's score in a challenge with Enemy Strongholds (100G) popping up for finishing a game on Redclaw's Castle, Teikoku no Yousai and Base Camp Shichi.



The second day saw a wide spread of 16 achievements across six games which began with Nutjitsu becoming my 38th completion after the unlocking of Grand Ninja (200G) for achieving the maximum rank. I had a quick switch over to the Xbox 360 on Hexic HD with a single unlock in the form of Survivalist (15G) for beating Survival mode.


Back to the Xbox One and on Rayman Legends with a duo of achievements in the form of  Just kick it! (10G) for winning a Kung Foot game (thanks to some help from Tonyboykid) and Splinter Ray (10G) for finishing "Mansion of the Deep" without crossing any light or laser.


 Next up was a quick stint on Chariot which saw a single unlock in the form of Honeymoon (10G) for playing a level from beginning to end with a second player which was possible thanks to more help from Tonyboykid's loaning of a second controller. A switch to Crimson Dragon followed with a duo of achievements starting with Strike from the Skies (50G) which strangely unlocked after only one mission despite actual target being every mission.



Of course, Seekers Unite (10G) instantly popped up as it should have given I had completed one Multiplayer mission which was followed by an afternoon session on Max:The Curse of Brotherhood which excelled with nine achievements starting with Alone in the Dark (10G) for completing the level "Alone in the Dark".


Master of Vines (15G) unlocked for drawing 200 vines while Greenfingers (25G) popped up after making the world a little greener with a total of 700 drawings.


By the Skin of your Teeth (10G) popped up after escaping the Beast with Master of Water (15G) popping up for drawing 200 water streams which looked amazing in terms of graphics.



Eye Bye Bye (50G) unlocked after destroying 50 of Mustacho's Evil Eyes which was soon followed by Some Assembly Required (25G) after finding and assembling six amulet pieces. 



Deadshot (25G) unlocked after a triple henchman kill at the end of 5-2 and in doing so with the use of fireballs, Master of Fire (15G) popped up for drawing a total of 200 fireballs which was a good way to end the session and the day as a whole.

Sunset Overdrive Kills As Forza Horizon 2 Triumphs

An evening session on Sunset Overdrive resulted in a trio of achievements beginning with Scout's Honor (35G) for becoming an honorary Troop Member by finding Bryllcream and defeating Norton. Bounce Kills (5G) popped up after killing 100 enemies while bouncing in the air.

Ultra Mega Kill (20G) unlocked after killing over 500 pigeons in a special mission and was the last action of the session.  The following day saw a similarly lengthed session but on Forza Horizon 2 which resulted in a quintet of achievements which began with Bragging Rights (10G) for beating fellow players through 20 Speed Cameras.

Storage Hunter (20G) unlocked after finding and restoring all 10 Barn Finds with the latter coming ahead of the first Horizon Finale which led to the popping up of Horizon Champion (50G) for becoming the Horizon Champion.


After securing the first Horizon title, the choice of road trip changed which saw Horizon Leader (20G) unlock for choosing the Road Trip destination for the first time with the night ended with the popping up of Super Meet Boy (10G) for grabbing a livery, tuning setup, a car and entering a Showdown at a Car Meet.

Despite the night ending, the session reconvened the next day featuirng some co-op with Tonyboykid which led to two achievements starting with Social Caterpillar (10G) for competing in 20 Multiplayer Events. Human GPS (10G) popped up for successfully driving down all 315 roads featured in the game. 

 

Sunset Overdrive Explores Killing Techniques

An evening stint on Sunset Overdrive resulted in two achievements which had been progressive for a while and began unlocking with A Challenger Appears (10G) for completing 10 challenges with at least a bronze rating. Let Me Count the Ways (5G) popped up after burning, shocking, freezing or enraging 1000 enemies.

Sunset Overdrive Grinds And Kills

An evening session on Sunset Overdrive resulted in two achievements beginning with Grind Melee (5G) for using melee on 50 enemies while grinding with That Balloon (20G) popping up for killing a balloon.

Sunset Overdrive Upgrades And Survives

A quick stint on Sunset Overdrive focused on testing out what the online play was like and after an hour or so trying out different modes, I came away with two achievements in the form of Chaos in Little Tokyo (25G) for surviving Chaos Squad in Little Tokyo district with at least 325 chaos. Favorite (10G) popped up for upgrading a gun to level 5.


The session spilled over into the next day which resulted in a total of seven achievements beginning with Appreciation (5G) unlocking for watching the credits from start to finish with Badge (20G) popping up after earning a badge.



Overdrive (20G) unlocked after combining badges to make an overdrive while The 0.1% (10G) popped up after spending 25,000 Overcharge.




Buck National (20G) unlocked after becoming a reality star with Amped Up (10G) popping up after having five AMPs equipped at the same time.



The session end with the unlocking of Plan B (35G) for surviving the glider crash and looking for an alternative way out of Sunset City.
 

Batman Arkham City Celebrates Sunset Overdrive Debut

The previous day's session on Batman Arkham City spilled over and resulted in a single unlock in the form of Party's Over (50G) for popping all 30 Harley Balloons which took a lot of effort including two playthroughs of the DLC.


After a long-awaited release since its announcement at E3 2013, Sunset Overdrive made its debut in a mix of colour and action which put it firmly in my top ten games of 2014 with four achievements coming in the session. Oh the Horror! (30G) unlocked after surviving Horror Night while Overachiever (10G) popped instantly for the previous unlock.

Dusk Till Dawn (30G) unlocked after surviving one night in a Fort with Grind Kills (5G) popping up for killing 100 enemies while grinding.

October 2014 Summary

A superb month on all front which saw a total of 166 achievements unlocked with a first ever century on the Xbox One itself which was buoyed by the releases of Project Spark and Forza Horizon 2.

The biggest milestone of the month was reaching 150,000 TA points and the year already guaranteed to be my best ever there is slim hopes of even reaching a total of 6000 unlocks before the end of the year and reaching 750 non-app unlocks on the Xbox One before the anniversary of its release on Nov 22nd.
