Windows 8 Takes Focus
After having a day focused on the Xbox One, I thought a session focused on Windows 8 would be a good achievement boost and after a seven unlock haul it proved to be a good idea.

Samurai v Zombies Defence began the session and the first unlock was We must protect this house (5G) for completing ten waves without any gate damage while Coward (5G) popped up for completing a wave without attacking.

Send them back (5G) unlocked for killing 50 Oni and was swiftly followed by Get back here! (5G) for killing 50 chochinobake.

The session ended with the unlocking of Money Bags (5G) for saving up 15,000 coins without spending it and then I had a quick go on Rayman Jungle Run and unlocked Dessert (20G) for collecting 2000 Lums.

The night ended with a go on Monster Island and the unlocking of Monster Killer (10G) for killing 50 monsters.

Xbox One Joins 2014
After a mix of Windows 8 and Xbox 360 focus so far in 2014, it was time to give the Xbox One a play, the main reason it hasn't been used for games a lot is that I got eight at launch with having such a big 360 backlog but three games got a go today and scored six unlocks.

Peggle 2 was first up and had a single unlock in the shape of Orange Crusher (10G) for hitting 5000 Orange pegs with Need For Speed Rivals next up and the first achievement was Racer Rank 5 (15G) for reaching Racer Rank 5.

Deep Down, You Know You Want To (40G) unlocked for driving 50 cumulative minutes in a Ford and entering the garage to finish while 5,4,3,2, Mach 1! (40G) popped up for earning 50 seconds of airtime in any Ford car.

Racer Rank 10 (20G) unlocked for reaching Racer Rank 10 and the night ended with a quick go on FIFA 14 on my pro career and after a good performance where I scored and created a goal, I unlocked Rising Star (30G) for being featured in Team of the Week.

Minesweeper Returns With DLC
How typical that in completing The Saboteur to reach 27 completions, a day later one of my completions disappeared as Microsoft Minesweeper gained new DLC but strange that it was completely unannounced and I only noticed after checking my written list of completions.

So this meant an attempt to try and re complete which will be near impossible given the timescale of some achievements but I have five done already which began with First Rung of the Ladder (5G) for reaching the exit on Level 1 in Adventure mode while Came To Play (5G) popped up for playing my first daily challenge.

Came To Win (10G) unlocked for winning my first daily challenge and was swiftly followed by Flag Happy (5G) for filling a classic board with flags.
The night ended with Serious Business (5G) for uncovering a square touching six or more mines and brings the current achievement streak to 44 in 14 days.
