Xboxing in 2014
So as I summarised a brilliant 2013, the focus now moves to what I hope to achieve in 2014 and I have come up with the following goals...
A GamerScore of 100,000 by 01 Jan 15
An increase of 17,175 over 364 days
A GamerScore of 98,280 by 01 Jan 15
An increase of 15,455 over 364 days -

A TrueAchievement score of 125,000 by 01 Jan 15

A TrueAchievement score of 138,526 by 01 Jan 15
An increase of 22,765 over 364 days
An increase of 22,765 over 364 days
An increase of 24 over 364 days
A Completion Percentage of 40.00 by 01 Jan 15
An extra 3.0% over 364 days
The best prospect for my first successful goal of 2014 must be the completed games part 1 with 4 games surely within reach but we will see and I will keep regular progress just like I did in 2013.

2013 Summary
2013 has been a mixed year in terms of 'Xboxing' as after the first five months I had only unlocked a total of 188 achievements which is horrific when compared the last five months of the year of which three finished above 100 unlocks. The best month was saved until last with December totalling an amazing 196 unlock, a record that will be hard to equal never mind beat in 2014. On the subject of records a number did tumble in 2013 with the completed games target hitting both targets of 20 and 26 so for 2014, 30 and then the ambition of 50 will be placed as goals.
Achievements won passed four milestones from 3750-4000-4250 and 4500 with the target for the year reached on December 23rd with the target of 5000 missed for a second consecutive year but surely in sight for 2014 with under 500 needed so that will be the first target in 2014 with the tradition of beating the previous year also installed as a goal.
True achievement scores have been mixed this year due to high opening scores on the Xbox One which saw an amazing boost in score in November dampened by consistent decreases in December mainly due to having began unlocking on 'Day One' but it was worth when coupled with the DLC calculation from March. However, the target for the year was met on December 20th but due to the extra calculation the overall target was not met so a re-worked goal is needed for 2014.
Gamerscore has seen a vast rise but sadly just like TA failed to meet its required target but by a slim margin of around 1000G which is a positive when back in the bad period at the start of the year I had only earned 3000G and yet I collected that amount in December alone in a brilliant end to the year.
Goal - Reach 100,000 gamerscore - 82,815 so only 47% completed but a brilliant haul overall of 15.455G which should be better in 2014 with the amount of games at my disposal.7
Goal - Reach 5000 achievements and ended the year on 4542 so 67% of the goal which mean surely it will be reached in 2014
Goal - Reach 114458 True Achievement score was successfully reached with the year ending on 115,724 with the extra goals of 116,785 and 127,327 missed after the addition of extra points on the target from March.
For 2014, a number of new goals will join the continuing goals of 5000, 100,000 and 125,000 TA with new ones installed if the originals are reached so I end by saying Happy New Year to all readers!!!

December Summary
December has broken the monthly achievement record with a massive haul which includes both app and accidentally offline unlocks.
The first full month with both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles in use has given me my best ever month for unlocking which also brought up the total achievement goal for the year.
December 2013 (2012 in brackets)
196 Achievements unlocked (140)
44 Games played (12) and 1 App *
5216 TA points** (2794)
3520 Gamerscore (2140)
*Xbox One features app achievements so are not included with game stats.
**includes DLC recalculation from March and is the total earned so losses not included.
A superb month which has continued the success from earlier through the year and even though the main goals continue to be illusive into 2014, it was good to beat a least one 2012 record.
Pool Nation Brings Closes 2013
A new game on the final day of 2013 in the shape of Pool Nation and three unlocks began with Win (10G) for winning my first star in Tour while Super Shot (15G) popped up for earning 5000 points in a single skill shot.
Side Tracked (10G) was the final achievement of 2013 and came for winning my first bonus match on Tour. The monthly and yearly summaries will follow this post so will end this one here.

2012 Achievement Record Tumbles As Dash Ends
At the start of the year, I set various goals to achieve via Xbox including beating the 2012 totals, due to recalculation the TA one was extended meaning that the first to be reached is the achievement total which was 936 last year and today was equalled officially.
The reason I say officially is because even though I have eight extra achievements on Xbox One apps, they don't count towards game totals and are not added on my tracker site ' Trueachievements.com' but will count overall putting me at 4533, with my target set at 4525 for 2013.
For this reason, I have ended the Xbox Dash a week early as there are too many games to try and cram into the time which would have seen some get barely ten minutes playtime if the project continued so until the end of the year, I will play to further my 2013 totals but not on as grand a scale as 10 games a day.
The day began with the continuation of Kinect Joyride from the previous day and a single unlock set the day off in the shape of Strike a Pose (5G) for matching 100 poses in the Trick activity and then off to bed. The next session began in the afternoon with Microsoft Taptiles with Lightning Match (15G) unlocking for matching five pairs in under two seconds.
Tranquility (10G) unlocked for completing 100 puzzles in Relaxation mode while next up was Reckless Racing where Master Mechanic (10G) for upgrading a car to its maximum level.
I will Survive (10G) unlocked for getting a ranked score in Quick Survival mode on Hole In the Wall while I moved onto Your Shape 2012 and up popped Head in the Game (10G) for completing three types of single player activity.
In it to Win it (10G) unlocked for completing five types of single player activity with Orange Belt (5G) popping up for burning 100 calories.
Let's Get Hot! (10G) unlocked for completing every warm-up activity while Fitness Scout (10G) popped up for collecting five badges.
Workout Buddies (10G) unlocked on EA Sports Active 2 for completing a multiplayer workout while on Brunswick Pro Bowling, Hat (50G) unlocked for top scoring in the Beginner tournament with a stunning 177.
The night ended with a session on Crossboard 7 which began with the unlocking of Riding Trials Complete (30G) for completing the Riding trials while Fly Distance Trials Complete (30G) glided in for completing the Fly Distance trials.
Starting Boost (20G) unlocked for changing from the stopping to accelerating position before the race started with I Can Fly! (80G) popping up for getting big air in a race.
Jib and Switch (40G) unlocked for performing a switch while jibbing and on the popping up of No Crash Ace (20G) for finishing a race in 1st without crashing, another milestone appeared this time the 4500th achievement to equal last years total in terms of gaming unlocks.
