Microsoft Mahjong Hits The Tiles

Another Windows 8 game in the shape of Microsoft Mahjong and with only three achievements it was a quick unlock session which saw it become the 14th completed game for me and the third in a week which started with The Fun Begins (10G) unlocked for completing a puzzle.

 Mahjong Pro (10G) popped up for completing a hard puzzle and A Fresh Coat Of Paint (5G) unlocked for changing the game's theme.

100th Post Sees Forza Horizon Take Me To 64,000G

It is hard to believe that after 100 posts I still have a small but reasonable following with this blog and what a way to celebrat the centenary with the milestone of 64,000G courtesy of the May The Forza Be With You (10G) which unlocked for receiving the free cars which were awarded for being a loyal Forza Fan with having played previous games in the Forza franchise.

Kudos To You (10G) soon unlocked for completing five sponsorship challenges which was sealed by the Near Miss challenge. Bargain Shopper (10G) shopped in for earning a nice discount.

Barn This Way (5G) unlocked for earning my first barn find and Going Green (25G) drove in for earning my green wristband.

Windows 8 Play With Taptiles And Adera Ep 1

More on Windows 8 based games and Taptiles with the unlocking of Come To Play (5G) for playing my first daily challenge, Back To Back (10G) for achieving a 2-pair multi-match chain in Origins mode and Milestone (10G) for completing the Foundation pack.

Then onto Adera and on the first episode and over the course of three hours unlocked all 18 achievements for 200G and to make it for the time being my 12th Official completed game and even better is that it is the second in a week.

Dear Diary (5G) unlocked for using the Journal, First Find (5G) for finding my first collectible on the episode.

Lifesaver (10G) for reviving Hawk with water and a medkit and Vision Stone Heirloom (10G) for obtaining the Vision Stone from the Office.


Gimme A Hint (10G) unlocked for using the hint button five times and Canyon Pass (10G) for unlocking the canyon gate with the three animal symbols.

Amateur Collector (5G) unlocked for finding five collectibles and Mad Tapper (5G) popped up for receiving three warnings in a Hidden Object scene.

Keen-eyed Sleuth (10G) unlocked for completing a Hidden Object scene without using the hint button and Ritual Chamber (15G) popped up for entering the hidden valley of Adera.

Zealot Collector (10G) unlocked for finding 40 collectibles and Quetzal Aflame (15G) popped up for finding the way into a hidden city.


Across The Chasm (20G) unlocked for avoiding a deadly fall with a little help and This Way, That Way (5G) popped up for travelling between the same 2 scenes 4 times in 30 seconds.

A Helping Hand (15G) unlocked for using the Share charm and Attention To Detail (20G) popped up for finding all of the collectibles in Episode 1.


Focused Mind (15G) unlocked for completing every Hidden Object scene without skipping and Aderan Paragon (20G) unlocked for completing Episode 1 without any hints.

So in summary, another successful day and the second in under a week to break 20 achievements in a single day and have a completed game. The day saw 21 achievements for 305 TA points and 225G.

Taptiles And Dance Central 3 Hit The Floor

Another Windows 8 game in Taptiles with the first unlock being Nimble (10G) for achieving a speed chain of 30. Consistency (10G) for earning 3 special tiles in one game came next.

Success (10G) unlocked for winning my first daily challenge and then onto Dance Central 3 and soon unlocked Party Planner (20G) for starting a party with a custom playlist.

Playing Favourites (25G) popped up for playing 20 songs with the same character which for me was Miss Aubrey and the last unlock of the day was Beyond Flaw (20G) for earning 'Flawless' on 1000 moves.

Forza Horizon Hits The Road While Solitaire Deals The Cards

Another new game in Forza Horizon, a game based on the Horizon festival of Colorado.

The first unlock was Welcome to Horizon (10G) for reaching the Horizon festival successfully and was swiftly followed by ...and across the line! (10G) for competing in my first race at Horizon.

First (20G) came for winning my first race which was in my debut race and A Wristed Development (20G) unlocked after the award of my Yellow Wristband.

Take her for a Spin! (15G) came after purchasing a car from the Autoshow and was soon joined by Born Slippy (10G) popped up for winning my first mixed-surface race.

Later on I went on Microsoft Solitaire Collection and secured the final of the three achievements in the shape of Well Played (10G) for securing my first win on the collection.

This meant it became by 13th completed game overall but with the impending DLC for Sleeping Dogs, MSC sits as number 12 with Sleeping Dogs likely to become the 13th later in the week. 

Windows 8 Launches With Free Achievements While DC3 Completes A Week

Windows 8 launched today and as I browsed the new layout I spotted games with Xbox liveries and in downloading noticed they had achievements so went on and played a few of them.

Up first was Microsoft Minesweeper which saw the unlocking of Good Start (10G) for completion of the first minefield and Happens To Everybody (5G) for triggering a mine for the first time.

Wordament was my next game and saw nine unlocks which began with Sweet Sixteen (10G) for finding words which used each of the 16 letters in the grid once in a round. Spin Cycle (10G) spun in for rotating the grid in a round.

Theme Word (10G) unlocked for finding a themed word in a round and at the same time was joined by CH a CH IN g (10G) for finding a diagram word in a round.

Autobiographical (20G) unlocked for finding the longest possible word in a round which was 'Groomsman' and in doing so unlocked Swipe Those Tiles (10G) for completing 10 rounds.

Multilingual (10G) popped up for playing the game in an alternate language of which I chose Français. Better Than Half (10G) unlocked for finishing in the top 50% of players in a round and in doing so I unlocked Beat Your Frenemies (20G) for beating all frenenmies (I selected a random player)

The last of the nine meant that I had reached the milestone of 85,000 TA score and  moved onto Dance Central 3 and unlocked five achievements which began with Daily Grind (20G) for playing the game for seven consecutive days  and Nice Moves (20G) unlocked for claiming a 'Nice' score on 1000 moves.

Top Agent (15G) spied in for deciphering a craze on the first try an Do It... (15G) popped up for achieving five stars on 'The Hustle' in Story mode.


GOOOAAALLL! (20G) scored a hit for setting and completing a weekly goal successfully. Onto Pinball FX 2 and a solitary unlock which was Shuttle Pilot (15G) for finding five samples on the Mars table.

Jetpack Joyride rocketed up next and Alpha Charlie (5G) unlocked for flying over 2kms in distance. Reckless Racing drove in and sped to four achievements which began with Winner (5G) for winning a race.

Cup Winner (5G) unlocked for winning a cup, Proud Car Owner (5G) unlocked for purchasing a car and Picasso (5G) rolled up for painting the previously purchased car.

Finally, I played on Microsoft Solitaire and two unlocks were dealt to me in the shape of First One's Free (10G) for filliping over my first card and Jack Of All Trades (20G) for playing at least 1 game of Klondike, FreeCell, Spider, TriPeaks, and Pyramid.

A very successful day which in summary saw 25 achievements for a total of 438 True Achievement points and an amazing 305G.
